SPRING BREAK 2008

For Spring Break this year we headed up to Broken Bow, Oklahoma to vacation with Annie, Kevin, Hannah & Tyler Bassett. We stayed just outside of Beavers Bend Resort Park. Annie found this precious cabin online and we rented it for 3.5 days. We spent our days hiking, fishing, and playing around the cabin. The kids had a blast and as always, we had a fantastic time with the Bassetts.

Snowdays in Dallas

Well, finally in March of this year it snowed here in Dallas. And not just once, but 2 times in one week. On Sunday evening it snowed, then on Thursday all day we had a huge snow where they even closed the schools early and I had to head to MCA to get Colton. Here are some pics from both snowdays. The absolute highlight was going sledding this morning. Colton and Cassidy went sledding for the 1st time last Spring Break in Colorado but did not imagine they'd be able to in Texas. Per Colton "Wow, this is the best day ever"!

Neighborhood Friends

The 1st day we moved into our new house, 2 little boys came down on their bikes and sat in front waiting to see if there were "kids" moving in. I went over and introduced myself and told them that a 6 yr old boy and a 4 yr old girl were moving in. They were SO excited! Ian is 6, Matthew is 5 and their little sister Paige is 4. Colton and Cassidy just love their new friends. Since that day the kids play every day they can. Here are some pics from one day when they made Cupcakes and just hung around playing.

Random Pajama Party in Feb

One Wednesday night, we had Macy McCall and Sonny Moore over while Jennifer & Tim went to Church. Jennifer was going to speak to a group about her mission trip to Guatamala. We decided to have a mini pajama party with games (rather ghetto games...mama didn't not plan well) and snacks. But the kids loved it anyway. Just having friends over in the evening is such fun for them. Good times.

CASSIDY'S 4TH BIRTHDAY

Cassidy's 4th Birthday was January 5th, 2008. She wanted a Princess Birthday Party. We had all her friends come dressed as princesses. We did makeup, games, pinata, and a bounce house. She still talks about it all the time.
